Elective activities
Students must earn a total of 18 ECTS from elective activities, allocated as follows.
12 ECTS must be obtained from elective courses and laboratories. No more than 3 of these 12 ECTS may be earned from a laboratory. Examples:
Permitted:
- Two elective courses of 6 ECTS each
- One laboratory (3 ECTS) and one elective course of 9 ECTS
Not permitted:
- Two laboratories of 3 ECTS each and one elective course of 6 ECTS
- One laboratory of 6 ECTS and one elective course of 6 ECTS
The remaining 6 ECTS must be obtained from additional elective activities. The choice depends on whether the student holds an Italian or a foreign qualification.
Students holding an Italian qualification may choose any combination of the following activities (for a total of 6 ECTS):
- Computer skills
- Additional language skills (max 3 ECTS)
- Soft (Transversal) Skills
- Laboratories (max 3 ECTS)
- Internship
Examples permitted:
- one computer skills course and one internship
- one additional language skills and one soft (transversal) skills course
- etc
Not permitted:
- two language skill courses; two laboratories.
Students holding a foreign qualification must earn 3 ECTS in Additional Language Skills: Italian (level A2) and obtain the remaining 3 ECTS by choosing one of the following activities:
- Computer skills
- Additional language skills
- Soft (Transversal) Skills
- Laboratories
- Internship
Beyond these 18 ECTS, students can attend additional elective activities 'fuori piano' (i.e. outside the study plan). However, they do not count towards the 177 ECTS required for admission to the final examination.
