IUSS Pavia Course of Excellence

First-year students of Bachelor's and single-cycle Master's degree programmes can undertake, in addition to their study programme, a course of excellence at Scuola Universitaria Superiore IUSS Pavia, under an agreement signed by our University, IUSS Pavia and Collegio di Milano.

Students of the University of Milan can apply for a total of 36 places across 4 subject areas.

The call for applications is posted to the IUSS Pavia website.

Applicants to IUSS Pavia are required to enrol at Collegio di Milano, after passing the admission exam as set out in the call for applications posted to the Collegio di Milano website.

From the academic year 2025-206, winners will have:

  • a total tuition waiver for their entire university studies
  • a grant of €1,500.00.

  • 8 places for Human and Life Sciences, subdivided as follows:
    • 4 places for Human Sciences (Faculty of Humanities)
    • 4 places for Biomedical Sciences (Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, School of Exercise and Sport Science, Areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology)
  • 8 places for Science, Technology and Society, subdivided as follows:
    • 4 places for Science and Technology (Faculty of Science and Technology except for the Areas of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology and Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences)
    • 4 places for Social Sciences (Faculties of Law and Political, Economic and Social Sciences).
  • 10 places for Human and Life Sciences, subdivided as follows:
    • 5 places for Human Sciences (Faculty of Humanities)
